Terra Cotta Charities Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charity that conducts the Terra Cotta Invitational Golf Tournament and invites the best amateur golfers in the world to participate at the Naples National Golf Club in April of each year.
All the net proceeds generated by the tournament are donated to local charities benefitting children. The donations come primarily from Naples National Members and golf business sponsors.
Charities that have benefitted over the years include the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Collier Child Care Resources, Ricky King Children’s Fund, Fran Cohen Youth Center, Naples Equestrian Challenge, STARability Foundation, Naples Zoo Education Program, Pace Center for Girls, Naples Botanical Garden Children’s Education Program, KidzAct Scholarship Fund at The Naples Players, Neighborhood Health Clinic, Family Children’s Day Center at FGCU, Foster Children Forever, Fun Time Early Learning Center, Youth Haven, Kids Minds Matter, Panera Health Care Clinic and several others. According to charity President John P. Cardillo, the tournament has generated over $997,000 since inception in 1996.
